
After graduating from Temple High School in Bell County, Gary enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served until his honorable discharge. With his law enforcement experience, Gary took an oath to support and defend the Constitution, embodying the Marine Corps values of honor, courage, and commitment, which he continues to uphold today.

Through hard work and dedication to his family, Gary helped his wife, Tracy, earn her Master's in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University in 2004, all while raising their three young children in Bell County. Tracy subsequently became the assistant principal and later the principal of Caldwell Intermediate School. Gary supported his family by taking on various roles, including truck driving and meat cutting, drawing on his law enforcement experience to instill values of hard work. He understands what it means to prioritize and provide for your family.

In 2013, Gary began pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a law enforcement officer by starting his career at the Bell County Sheriff's Department as a jailer. After graduating from the Police Academy, he became a Deputy Sheriff, working in Courts and Transportation. Following several years of law enforcement experience with the Sheriff's Department, he transitioned to become a Deputy Constable for Precinct 1, where he focused on the Truancy Court.
During his time as an officer in the courtroom, Gary gained valuable experience that inspired him to run for the office of Justice of the Peace. He is committed to ensuring fairness for everyone in Precinct 2, believing in being firm but fair and treating every individual with the respect they deserve.
